Red Spot DevSupport is a versatile program that helps COOL:Gen developers in a variety of ways. The functionality of the program can be divided into four major areas:

GUI Improvements

Working with COOL:Gen programs (like the Toolset and CSE Clients) can often be very frustrating because the user interface is not one of the best features of these programs. DevSupport is able to correct a lot of flaws in the user interface and it also adds extra functionality.

CRUD Matrix

It is a very tedious task to maintain the CRUD in the Toolset and that is why you seldom see a CRUD that is up-to-date. DevSupport allows you to create a True (technical) CRUD based on the sources that are generated in the building process.

Browsing Action Diagrams on the Encyclopedia

DevSupport allows you to view Action Diagrams directly on Encyclopedia. Several options are included to influence the statements that are actually retrieved and how they are formatted. Naturally, the retrieved Diagrams are CoolPrinter compatible.

Attribute Where Used Reports on the Encylopedia

Select one ore more Attributes (both Entity and Workset) on the Encyclopedia and create a detailed Where Used Report including the statements that use these Attributes.

Miscellaneous Features

Besides the previous area's there are a lot of other smaller functions that help you in building systems with COOL:Gen.

DevSupport runs on the latest Windows platforms and is tested in combination with most of the COOL:Gen versions.
