What is CoolPrinter?

Red Spot CoolPrinter is a program that you can use for printing your COOL:Gen Reports quickly (saving valuable time and money) in a sophisticated style.

You will not get piles of difficult-to-read paper where half of your Action Diagram statements are truncated (what happens if you print your reports directly to the printer from the Toolset), but you will get easy-to-read reports with formatted headers in a font and a fontsize of your choice!

The program has a print engine that recognizes all the COOL:Gen Reports by it’s contents, which makes it easy to identify the files on the disk and allows the program to apply different styles to different report sections. It even reformats some Reports for you when printing, like the Data Model List where the properties (domain, length, optionality and category) are neatly printed in a columnar format.

CoolPrinter only has a few easy-to-use dialogs that allow you to perform the tasks you need to do where the hard work is done by program. In fact, when using the Toolset Print Support the only skill you need is pressing an OK button! No puzzling dialogs but a straightforward application instead.

Features

Over 30 COOL:Gen Reports are recognised by CoolPrinter’s print engine, not only the standard Reports but also the frequently used screen-prints like the Data Model List and the Data Structure List.

	The powerful Smart Wrapping option dramatically improves the readability of your reports. Ugly wrapped long lines are all wrapped perfectly.
	Every page includes a header with a pagenumber, a title, the physical file location and the date the file was printed. When available the Model and Subset names, together with the creation date of the report will be printed on the header as well.
	Toolset Print Support allows you to directly print your reports as soon as you select the Print option from the Toolset menu. No time is wasted in setting all the options and typing in the filename in the COOL:Gen Print Options Dialog because CoolPrinter will handle this for you.
	You can specify different fonts (the name, the size, Bold/ Italic) for standard text, highlighted text, and headings that will be used when printing your reports. You can also specify the page layout: landscape/portrait, duplex, margins, and the number of columns. All these settings can be saved in Schemes, which allows you to quickly switch between frequently used settings.
	The Text Highlighting option allows you to specify words that should be marked on the report. All occurrences that CoolPrinter finds will be highlighted in the style of your choice.
	Always skipping back and forth to find the start and the end of an IF statement? Action Block Structure Line Numbering makes it so easy to get a perfect overview of your Action Diagrams.
	CoolPrinter can skip all the Disabled Statements when printing Action Blocks.
	There�s an option to convert ASCII Graphic characters to ASCII Text characters.
	You are not limited to COOL:Gen Reports; you can also use CoolPrinter to print other textfiles, and you can even print text directly from the clipboard.
	You can browse through the Reports that are stored on your (hard) drives and direct feedback is given about the contents of the file: The Report Type, the size of the file, the Model name, and the Subset name. If the file contains Action Diagram statements the name of the Action Diagram is immediately displayed.

You can print multiple files that are stored on your drive together. Just select all the files you want to print and press the print button.

	Possibility to view the contents of a file without having to print it. Red Spot CoolPrinter uses DDE to start the program that is associated with your file. Un-associated files can be opened with a program of your choice.
	CoolPrinter is designed to run under Windows Operating systems (95, 98, NT, 2000, XP) and has been tested with several COOL:Gen Toolsets (Composer 3.0, COOL:Gen 4.x/5.x/6.x)
